Requirements

To be considered for the Work Integrated Learning programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Matric certificate
  • S4–S5 Technical qualification
  • Completed all theoretical coursework in one of the following fields:
    • Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current)
    • Electronics Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Civil Engineering
    • Industrial Engineering
    • Chemical Engineering
    • Physical Metallurgy
  • South African citizenship
  • Aged between 18 and 35 years
  • No bursary obligation with another organisation
  • Proof of institutional confirmation (most recent letter)
  • Certified copies of Matric certificate, academic record, and ID

Preference will be given to People with Disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

During the Work Integrated Learning programme, learners will be expected to:

  • Assist with assigned projects within the department
  • Perform routine operational tasks under supervision
  • Support administrative duties such as documentation and reporting

Learning & Development

  • Participate in training sessions and mentorship activities
  • Shadow experienced professionals
  • Engage in practical problem-solving exercises

Communication & Collaboration

  • Communicate with internal teams and stakeholders
  • Provide progress updates on assigned tasks
  • Act as a point of contact for queries where required

Research & Analysis

  • Conduct basic research and data collection
  • Assist with reports and presentations
  • Support process improvement initiatives

Compliance & Safety

  • Adhere to company policies and safety regulations
  • Maintain ethical and professional standards
  • Handle information with confidentiality and integrity
