These Experiential Traineeships are structured to meet the requirements of TVET College experiential learning.

About the Programme

The Experiential Traineeships programme runs for 18 months and focuses on:

  • Practical, workplace-based training
  • Exposure to real business operations
  • Completion of logbook requirements
  • Skills development aligned with N6 qualifications

Requirements

To qualify for the Experiential Traineeships, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Completed an N6 Certificate within the last 3 years
  • Must have N6 results and transcript
  • Must still require practical experience to obtain a National N Diploma
  • Must be currently studying or have studied N6 in one of the approved fields
  • Must reside in Kariega or Gqeberha (or surrounding areas)

Fields of Study Accepted

Applicants for the Experiential Traineeships must have studied one of the following N6 qualifications:

  • Business Management N6
  • Management Assistant N6
  • Financial Management N6
  • Human Resource Management N6
  • Office Management

Skills Required

Successful candidates for the Experiential Traineeships should demonstrate:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to learn in a professional environment
  • Good organisational and administrative skills
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Professional attitude and time management skills

A valid driver’s licence (Code 08) will be an added advantage.

During the Experiential Traineeships, trainees may be responsible for:
