The successful candidate will form part of the production team and support daily plant operations. The General Assistants – Coating Department will assist with production-related tasks, maintain a clean and safe work environment, handle materials, and provide support to supervisors and skilled workers.

Duties and Responsibilities
The General Assistants – Coating Department will be responsible for the following duties and tasks:
General Warehouse & Production Support
- Assist with general warehouse duties
- Safe storage of materials
- Pulling or picking of material
- Packing material into storage (bin) locations
- Strapping material
- Sweeping and housekeeping
Safety & Maintenance
- Conduct routine safety inspections
- Report unsafe acts and unsafe conditions
- Report maintenance requirements in designated areas
- Maintain safety and housekeeping standards as specified
Operational Support
- Assist other departments when required
- Assist with stock takes
- Perform any reasonable task as instructed
- Continually identify ways to improve processes directly or indirectly
- Understand and comply with company policies and procedures
Performance Outputs
To succeed in the General Assistants – Coating Department position, candidates should demonstrate:
- Knowledge of material grades and steel products
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to use measuring equipment
- Willingness to work shifts
