Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be South African citizens under 35 years of age with a valid South African ID
- Have a relevant post-matric qualification from a recognised institution
- Not have participated in any previous SETA-sponsored internship
- Not have been previously employed
- Submit a detailed CV, motivation letter, and certified copies of ID and academic qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Accepted:
- ND in Business Management or Project Management
- ND/BTech/Degree in Office Administration, Accounting, Public Administration, or Business Administration
- ND in Management Assistant, Administration, or equivalent
Core Competencies
Interns participating in the CETA Client Services are expected to develop:
- Knowledge of CETA as a corporate and public entity and the SETA landscape, including its purpose and mandate
- Theoretical understanding relevant to the functional area, department, or unit of placement
- Awareness of regulatory laws and frameworks, including the Skills Development Act, SDLA, PFMA, Tax laws, BBBEE, Employment Equity, and Affirmative Action
- Administrative, coordination, and reporting skills through hands-on exposure
Key Responsibilities
Interns will be expected to:
- Perform entry-level functions for the unit
- Handle correspondence, maintain records, and support documentation processes
- Assist with budget coordination and information gathering for audits
- Support data collation and preparation of monthly and quarterly reports
- Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and assist with presentations
- Rotate across divisions within the department for broad exposure
- Have progress formally reviewed at least once per quarter
