Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be between 18 and 25 years old
- Have completed Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science
- Be medically fit to operate a forklift (training provided)
- Maintain medical fitness to renew forklift license
- Possess basic computer skills, including data entry and MS Office
- Be willing to work shifts and overtime as required
Responsibilities
Learners in the Chemical Process Operator Learnerships will be expected to:
- Complete NQF 2 unit standards chemical process operation training
- Handle the filling and emptying of bags, drums, and bulk containers
- Load and offload bulk bags, raw materials, and bulk liquid chemicals
- Maintain general housekeeping on all plant areas
- Operate plant under supervision and monitor processes independently once competent
- Work safely at heights and in confined spaces as required
- Accurately complete production and process documentation
- Follow instructions from the Team Leader and adhere to SHEQ/PSM guidelines
- Undergo forklift operation training and maintain competency
- Maintain medical fitness for all assigned duties
