ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP PROVIDER – EXNESS

ABOUT THE EXNESS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED

Exness is inviting students to apply for their Fintech scholarship programme, for the 2026 academic year.

Scholarships will be awarded for Masters degree studies at UCT, within any of the following fields:

Study skills course
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  •  Computer Engineering
  • Computer Science
  • Data Science
  • Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT)
  • Financial Engineering
  • Machine Learning
  • Mathematics

The scholarship was made possible by Exness’ partnership with the University of Cape Town (UCT), the country’s leading tertiary educational institution. Through this, Exness plans to support the educational goals of the students within fields relating to science and technology.

The scholarship award plans to aid deserving, underprivileged, South African students in becoming the future leaders within their chosen field of study. Through this, Exness hopes to provide these students with the necessary support and funding needed to complete their studies and earn a Master’s Degree.

 

MORE ABOUT THE EXNESS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME – EXPENSES COVERED & SELECTION

The scholarship will provide cover for full tuition fees, it will also provide full or partial cover for living expenses, depending on the financial need of the student.

Successful candidates will be contacted and invited to attend an interview. If you do not receive any feedback, please regard your application as unsuccessful.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE EXNESS SCHOLARSHIP

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying for the bursary (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

  • Preference will be given to South African citizens, however, international students may also apply
  • You must have been accepted to study at University of Cape Town (UCT) in 2026
  • You must have been accepted to study towards a Masters degree, in one of the Computer Science or Mathematics qualifications listed above
  • You must have achieved a minimum overall average of 70%
  • You must have a gross family income of NOT more than R350 000 per annum (to qualify for 100% scholarship) OR you must have a gross family income of between R350 001 and R800 000 per annum (to qualify for 75% scholarship)
  • You must be hardworking and dedicated

Note: there is no application form to be completed for this bursary application – students need only submit the list of documents below to apply.

Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with your email application (the submission of these documents is compulsory – if any items are missing, your application may be disqualified):

  • Academic transcripts
  • UCT acceptance letter
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Motivational letter to support your application and stating your household income (read our tips on how to write a motivational letter for your bursary application)
