Requirements

To qualify for these Handyman Jobs 2026, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • National Senior Certificate (Grade 12 / Standard 10)
  • Certificate in plumbing, electrical, or carpentry
  • Trade Test certificate will be an added advantage
  • 0–6 months experience in a similar environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out minor electrical maintenance within capacity
  • Repair broken furniture
  • Paint buildings as required
  • Maintain stormwater channels and gutters
  • Clean and maintain kitchen fat drains
  • Report major maintenance issues to supervisors
  • Ensure tools are cleaned and stored safely
  • Report unauthorized movement of equipment
  • Report property damage
  • Execute general maintenance tasks as assigned
