Minimum Requirements
Applicants applying for the Heavy Equipment Mechanic Apprenticeships must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 with:
- Mathematics (Core)
- Physical Science
- Engineering Graphics & Design (EGD)
- Ability to pass a Technical Assessment (Numeracy and Literacy)
- Good physical health and willingness to undergo a medical examination
- Valid Code EB (08) driver’s licence
- Must reside within a 50km radius of the relevant Bell Customer Service Centre
Added Advantages
The following will be considered added advantages for the Heavy Equipment Mechanic Apprenticeships :
- Grade 12 Mechanical Technology
- N2 Diesel or Motor Trade Theory
- NCV Level 4 Engineering Related Design (Automotive – 7 subjects)
- Previous working experience in the engineering industry

Key Responsibilities
Candidates selected for the Heavy Equipment Mechanic Apprenticeships will:
