Penryn NPC, situated in Mbombela, Mpumalanga, is an independent co-educational school with a Christian ethos, linked to the Methodist Church. Penryn is a member of ISASA and a global member of the Round Square organisation.
Penryn is seeking to appoint a student who would like to advance their work experience whilst studying toward a
teaching qualification.
Commencement date: January 2025
Key requirements for the post:
- Currently enrolled in or registered for a Bachelor of Education; ECD/Foundation Phase, Intermediate Phase or a PGCE in either. Senior Phase PGCE may be considered.
- Highly competent in written and spoken English.
- The ability to coach a sport or run a cultural activity would be considered a strength.
- Taking care of the physical and mental well-being of children at the aftercare.
- Be able to build caring and meaningful relationships with scholars.
- Present a positive image of the school to others and to the community.
- Demonstrate strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Competence in Google Suite and digital or online teaching.
- Enthusiastic about working in a large school environment and being prepared to take on the responsibilities of extramural activities and events after normal school hours.
- A willingness to support the all-round ethos, co-curricular activities, and pastoral approach of Penryn.
- Comply with the SACE regulation and Code of Conduct.
- Willing to undergo staff vetting.
