Key Responsibilities

The selected candidates for Pharmacist Assistant Learnerships will be responsible for:

Operational Excellence – Stock Control

  • Participate in cyclical and full stock-take processes, including procurement and ethical stock control

  • Assist with stock management according to Netcare policies, emphasizing designated stock areas

General Tasks

  • Ensure compliance with SA Pharmacy Council regulations
  • Follow up on outstanding medication for patients

  • Perform duties assigned by the Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist

Medication Dispensing – Patient Care

  • Assist the pharmacist in all aspects of dispensing
  • Pick and package medicine under supervision
  • Capture dispensed items on patients’ accounts and according to medical aid rules
  • Maintain patient profiles and prescriptions on the Unisolve system
  • Assist with monthly chronic medicine recalls

Teamwork and Personal Development
