The CATHSSETA Internship Programme 2026 is now open for applications. This 12-month paid internship offers valuable workplace exposure within South Africa’s leading conservation institutions. The programme is offered by South African National Parks (SANParks) in partnership with South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI).

Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the CATHSSETA Internship Programme, applicants must:
- Be an unemployed South African citizen
- Be between 18 and 35 years old
- Have completed a National Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or Honours Degree (NQF 6–8) from a South African public HEI
- Not have previously participated in a Public Service internship programme
- Not have prior formal employment in the relevant field

- Full academic transcript
- Certified copy of South African ID
Important
- Foreign qualifications must be evaluated by SAQA. All appointments are subject to verification and screening processes.
