Requirements
Candidates applying for Supply Chain Experiential Learnerships must meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Supply Chain Management
- CPIM designation (preferred)
- Motivated self-starter with high initiative
- Strong interpersonal effectiveness
- High technical capabilities
- Excellent computer literacy
Key Responsibilities
Learners in the Supply Chain Experiential Learnerships will gain exposure to the following areas:
Production & Raw Material Management
- Raw materials and production planning
- Production confirmations and calculating figures (HDPE & PP)
- Recording production data and maintaining SAP planned production orders
- Reporting on utility usage
- Processing raw materials and packaging material receipts (SAP)
- Stock counting, reconciliation, and maintaining raw materials in rebate and bond stores according to SARS requirements
- Controlling the flow of related raw material tankers
- Purchasing raw materials and ensuring supplier quality compliance (COA)
- Maintaining inventory levels to meet production requirements
- Forecasting raw materials and managing exports of finished products
- Balancing supply and demand
Procurement
- Executing procurement processes and evaluating suppliers
- Placing orders aligned with procurement strategy and policy
- Preparing RFQs and expediting products, components, and services
- Ensuring master data related to procurement is accurate
- Interacting with internal clients (manufacturing, engineering, production, quality) and external service providers
Engineering Stores & Inventory Control
- Managing inventory, analysis, receiving, storage, and issuing
- Cycle counting and assisting end users
- Supporting MRP processes and expediting purchase requisitions
- Analysing and correcting master data
Warehousing & Logistics
- Warehouse and logistics management
- Data analysis, stock management, and balancing
