Minimum Requirements
To be considered for the Engineering Learnerships, applicants must meet one of the following minimum requirements:
- Matric with Mathematics (not Maths Literacy), Physical Science, and English (minimum 40% pass each), OR
- N2 or higher qualification with four subjects passed, including Mathematics and Engineering Science, relevant to the chosen trade
- NCV Level 4 qualification in an appropriate engineering trade with a minimum of 40% pass in all subjects

- Boilermaker: Plating/Welders Theory and Structural Steelwork Drawings
- Electrical: Electrical Trade Theory and Industrial Electronics or Engineering Drawings
- Diesel Mechanic: Diesel or Motor Trade Theory and Engineering Drawings
- Mechanical Fitter: Fitting Trade Theory and Engineering Drawings
- Instrument Mechanician: Instrument Trade Theory and Industrial Electronics
