Requirements

To qualify for the YES4Youth Cash Processor opportunity  , candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 12 with Maths Literacy
  • 6 months previous cashier/teller experience (Advantageous)

Key Responsibilities

The YES4Youth Cash Processor Opportunity will be responsible for the following duties:

Receive Cash

  • Receive deposits and update on applicable systems.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures to eliminate risks to the company and customers.

Prepare Cash on the Applicable System

  • Check containers/bags for damages or tampering and report anomalies to the Team Controller.
  • Acknowledge containers/bags on the system.
  • Process deposits in line with bank SLAs and SOPs.
  • Prepare workstation accurately for effective note counting.

Note Sorting

  • Sort all prepped deposits/notes (FDP/ACDP) on the same day within cut-off times.
  • Send rejected notes to the Reject Teller with PCD cards, deposit slips, and stop loss bag for verification and balancing.

Reconciliation of ACDP Deposits

  • Reconcile rejected notes to validate information.
  • Manually check rejected notes for counterfeits, dye-stained, and mutilated notes.
  • Perform cash transfers to vaults.
  • Complete end-of-day balancing and reconciliation.
  • Handle shortages and surpluses according to SOPs.

Desktop Deposit Processing

  • Inspect containers/bags for damage or tampering.
  • Keep deposits separate per customer at all times.
  • Process and balance deposits on the same day received.
  • Perform end-of-day reconciliation of all cash received.
  • Ensure accurate prepping for effective note counting.

Sachet and Process Coin

  • Process bulk coin deposits according to SBV policies and procedures.
  • Sort and process teller coin transfers.

Bank System Integrated Deposit Processing

  • Validate transactions linked to system integrations per bank SLA.
  • Inform client services of account numbers not linked to avoid delays.
  • Verify deposit account numbers to eliminate losses or misposts.
  • Escalate system downtime or delayed batches to the Team Controller.

Payroll and Change

  • Process payroll/change transactions according to customer SLA.
  • Report discrepancies to the Team Controller.
  • Seal floats in drop safe bags with packing slips.
  • Process payroll entries within bank SLA timeframes.
  • Maintain equipment and report defects.
  • Obtain bank authorization prior to dispatch as per SOP.

Prepack / Treasury

  • Assist with packing and unpacking of bank and ATM cash.
  • Manage consumables in line with packing requirements.
  • Confirm correct recording of bag and seal numbers.

Manage Equipment

  • Utilise equipment according to SOPs and protect company assets.
