Minimum Requirements
- National Certification (N3), Matric, National Senior Certificate (NSC) or NQF Level 4.
- 0–2 years of related experience.
- Manufacturing experience would be an advantage.
- Basic technical knowledge of pharmaceutical production processes, procedures, systems and equipment.
- Basic understanding of pharmaceutical standards and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including:

Key Responsibilities
- Execute production activities according to established policies, practices and guidelines.
- Follow established quality and safety standards.
- Optimise own work processes.
- Identify gaps in current policies and procedures.
- Assist with implementing processes within the work area.
- Perform visual inspections of production areas and equipment.
- Complete pre-production checks, including environmental checks, scale checks and equipment pre-checks.
- Conduct checks according to BMR, SOPs and product specifications.
- Verify the performance of scales and measuring equipment.
- Dispense, transfer, weigh and collect raw materials for processing.
- Ensure raw materials are correctly staged for processing.
- Set up rooms and IBCs for production activities.
- Prepare solutions for production activities according to SOP requirements.
- Clean work areas and equipment before and after processing materials.
- Perform routine equipment checks and equipment transfers.
- Collect production area and equipment samples for testing.
- Control contamination by flushing drains and pipes.
- Assist with sorting defective products and minimising waste.
- Provide information to support campaign preparation.
- Identify and report operational problems that are out of specification.
- Complete batch record labels.
- Complete Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) sheets.
- Conduct half-hourly inspections of production areas.
- Attend shift meetings.
- Provide information for reports.
- Complete and consolidate standard documents.
- Maintain and update records and systems as required.
