Allan Gray Makers Entrepreneurship Inter-College Competition South Africa 2024
ABOUT THE COMPETITION PROVIDER – ALLAN GRAY MAKERS
The Alan Gray Makers programme was first established in 2018 as a result of ideas for entrepreneurship within Africa, gravitating towards technical and vocational trades. During that time, involvement of vocational work was not prominent in the Gray entities, thus resulting in the creation of the Allan Gray Makers programme.
The initial aim of the programme was to prove aspects that work within technical and vocational contexts of South Africa, fostering both entrepreneurs and jobs. After working through a few models, the programme was initiated across South Africa, later spreading to the African continent.
By 2030, Allan Gray Makers hope to provide at least 300 000 individuals with entrepreneurial education within technical and vocational trades. Thereafter, those individuals supported by Allan Gray Makers will go on to establish 500 enterprises, supporting 2500 existing enterprises, thus creating 12 000 jobs that are meaningful to the country.
