Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the Buyers Assistant Jobs, applicants should have:

Key Responsibilities

  • Loading costs accurately onto distribution centres to support efficient stock ordering.
  • Determining correct pricing for different units of measure.
  • Setting accurate pack sizes, costs and unit selling prices.
  • Conducting quality checks on cost and sales-price information.
  • Correcting pricing and data errors promptly.
  • Capturing and maintaining accurate retail pricing information.
  • Responding to store queries relating to stock issues and errors.
  • Liaising with relevant teams to resolve operational queries.
  • Supporting Checkline with consumer enquiries.
  • Managing inter-branch stock transfers.
  • Assisting with order placement.
  • Maintaining records of newly listed products in SAP Buying.
  • Coordinating product information with Buyers and Planners.
  • Managing product lifecycle activities such as ranging, deranging, markdowns and discontinuations.
  • Maintaining accurate invoice and costing documentation.
  • Keeping supplier records up to date.
  • Filing documents to support the Buying team.
  • Preparing purchasing reports.
  • Monitoring relevant key performance indicators.
  • Escalating problems and discrepancies when required.
  • Supporting Buyers and Planners with administrative and operational functions.
  • Ensuring information captured on systems is accurate and up to date.
