Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional customer service at the point of sale
- Process customer purchases accurately
- Receive cash, bank cards, vouchers, coupons, and other approved payments
- Process refunds and exchanges when authorised
- Handle Dis-Chem loyalty cards and partner rewards programmes
- Maintain accurate cash flow and till balances
- Place cash in the drop safe according to company procedures
- Keep till money secure at all times
- Ensure line voids and price changes are properly authorised
- Scan all outgoing stock, items, and scripts
- Monitor and report suspicious customer behaviour
- Handle customer queries regarding merchandise
- Report customer complaints and compliments to management
- Follow Dis-Chem’s security policies and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality when handling daily takings
