Key Responsibilities
- Assisting cooks and chefs with food production.
- Assisting with the preparation of meals.
- Preparing salads and desserts.
- Placing entrees, salads, desserts and other food on the serving line.
- Keeping the serving line clean and adequately stocked.
- Operating the cash register where required.
- Serving food to customers.
- Maintaining clean and orderly canteen areas.
- Cleaning kitchen areas and workspaces.
- Complying with cleanliness and hygiene regulations.
- Following food safety and health and safety standards.
- Storing and recording food leftovers.
- Counting and handing over stock where applicable.
