Key Responsibilities
Successful learners will be responsible for:
- Preparing ingredients according to product recipes and supervisor instructions.
- Working with ingredients such as meats, vegetables, sauces and desserts.
- Checking the quality of ingredients before use.
- Weighing and measuring ingredients according to recipes.
- Cutting and portioning ingredients as required.
- Manually assembling meals according to prescribed recipes.
- Working closely with Quality Control to ensure products contain all required ingredients.
- Sealing, wrapping and sleeving completed products.
- Informing supervisors or team leaders when equipment is not operating correctly.
- Reporting when food supplies and other materials are running low.
- Maintaining a sanitised and orderly kitchen environment.
- Cleaning and sanitising work areas.
- Cleaning equipment, utensils and dishes.
- Cleaning food assembly areas.
- Maintaining good housekeeping standards.
- Completing theoretical learning requirements.
