Minimum Requirements
Applicants for the Shop Assistant Jobs should have:
- Grade 12 (Matric) or an equivalent qualification
- At least 1 year of retail experience
- Experience with beauty, skincare, or fragrance products will be advantageous
- Experience using Point of Sale (POS) systems
- Basic Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook and Excel, will be beneficial

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will:
- Welcome customers and provide exceptional service throughout their shopping experience
- Work towards achieving individual and store sales targets
- Promote the store’s loyalty programme and explain its benefits to customers
- Inform customers about promotions, discounts, and special offers
- Increase sales through upselling and cross-selling opportunities
- Maintain attractive and well-organised product displays
- Participate in stock counts and inventory checks
- Replenish, rotate, and manage stock using FIFO principles
- Keep shelves, displays, and products clean and presentable
- Process customer purchases accurately using POS systems
- Follow cash handling, banking, and operational procedures
- Perform product demonstrations and makeovers when required
- Support promotional campaigns and in-store marketing initiatives
- Attend training sessions to improve product knowledge
- Assist with the onboarding of new team members
- Report stock shortages and operational concerns to management
