Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare food according to customer orders.
- Maintain personal and workplace hygiene standards.
- Deliver food and beverages to meeting rooms.
- Maintain general housekeeping.
- Replenish stock as required.
- Maintain good relationships with staff members.
- Perform cashier duties.
- Ensure orders and items are processed accurately.
- Ensure customer payments are accurate.
- Keep till points clean and tidy.
- Keep the dining room, sauce stations, and coffee stations clean.
- Clean coffee machines in the mornings and ensure they are properly stocked with coffee, sugar, cups, and teaspoons.
- Regularly check and replenish coffee stations during the day.
- Clean and replenish sauce bottles, salt, and pepper canisters.
- Prepare food and pies for the Call Centre Tuck Shop in the morning.
- Ensure resale items and products for the Rations fridge are issued from the shop to Gateview.
- Complete daily issue sheets for the Call Centre Tuck Shop.
- Count stock in the mornings and afternoons.
- Record sales and ensure money balances.
- Conduct stock rotation and monitor expiry dates.
- Record damaged stock.
- Send food orders for the following day to the Manager: Clover Cafe by 15:00.
- Adhere to all Health, Food and Safety rules.
- Follow the required cleaning schedule.
- Assist with bread, fruit, and vegetable deliveries.
- Verify delivered stock against invoices and order forms.
- Apply the FIFO (First In, First Out) procedure.
- Report any Injury on Duty to management immediately.
- Report faulty equipment such as fridges and freezers.
- Accurately record all food and beverages issued for functions on the function booking sheet.
- Maintain the cutlery and crockery register for functions.
- Deliver food and beverages on time to the correct venue.
- Ensure function food is properly garnished and presented.
- Clean venues after functions or meetings.
- Report food items that are running low so additional preparation can be arranged.
- Inform customers when menu items are unavailable.
